Yep. Anything that will allow more air into your engine faster.

ok, how about an honest answer to his question? Your throttle is controlled by a wire, which is controlled by the pedal. SO, check to see if it has slack, see how much it is to replace it, or screw with it a little bit, I had mine shortened so it had increases throttle response, worked like a charm, but I dont know how they did it :-p

M1ke,
I have an auto and want to consider a whole new intake system from the filter to the TB&P. I am looking at one of the combo units offered by rpmoutlet.com. Any comments or suggestions?
Will it be normal for the throttle response of an auto to be slower than a stick?
What kind of improvements will I get with a whole new intake system?

yes it is normal....but it wont bee too much of a difference

you want more accel i take it?
i would swap gears and get sticky tires for more pick up....it will give you much more
of a difference then reduing your intake, not to mention it will be cheaper

i would get a set of 4.10s and sum DRs all around....this set up will really waken your car up

but for your information, you could expect about 20 more hp with a completly new intake.....give or take

What purpose would wasting money on dr for the front? you're front doenst hook, so why waste good $$$ on d/rs? just get a decent set of street tires, z rated :-p

Why you have slow throttle rsponse is because it takes time for the fuel to make its way to the chambers and then to move your whole engine. and yes gears and **** will help but it's all internal intake will help tons and if u got light weight everything like pistons, rods........ then that would be like night and day. it kinda works like turbo leg if i know how that works.
