my car is starting to **** me off. are 99 stock 5spd GTs not supposed to has any f**kin pull at all in 2nd gear because thats what it seems and its starting to **** me off

Thats odd. My 99 will smoke the tires in 2nd. Are you looking for mind blowing, put you in the seat power? Thats not going to happen without a power adder. As far as I can tell. Maybe some 4.10's. </P>

My 02 GT used to wheel hop all the way through 2nd gear. Occasionally it'd hook and throw ya back really hard.

well i mean depending on how i switch into second i could peel and do that stuff to, im talking if im switch smoothly into second and then press the gas... it doesnt pull me enough... or maybe im used to it... whatever

Agree......also the shifter and Clutch probably suck too...99GT, are you the first owner of that car?...........it probably needs a new clutch, the stock one is really a piece of crap......</P>

no im the second owner.... ya it prob does need a new clutch... well the second this one goes.. im gonna go spend a couple more bucks and get some type of racing clutch instead of getting another garbage stock one..

yep.get a heavy duty one, that should be apriority if the Clutch is f**ked off, next thing to go will be the flywheel and then ...........$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
