Default Questions about MODS-Not in sticky

I have a question about certain mods relationships with one another. If I get the CAI with tb/p combo, will this add HP regardless of my exaust setup, or will it only be noticable if a get a full exaust done. I ask this because I don't think I really want to spend the money for a whole exaust setup, I was thinking just some mufflers installed for under 200 bucks, just to get a nice sound. I got such a good deal on my car, I don't want to spend a ton of money do every mod possible, just simpler things. Let me know what you think or suggestons... Thanks in advance everyone!

you will get a noticable gain from the full intake, and you will be happy with it

but

you will get even more with the more exhaust mods you do....

for example, the tbwill give you sayyyyy.... 10hp by itsself, and maybe 13ph with the P.

maybe it will give you 16hp with a full exhaust then

understand?

(dear flamers: the numbers are not the point of this post)

A CAI and TB will not give you much HP, you will see more with the exhuast. Always remember that your engine is a system and as such you need to buy parts that work together, if you get more air in, then you need to get more air out, to see the max amount of HP. Personally I would not waist my money on a CAI, for the 2-5 rwhp you get form them, I would just put in 4:10's

so the intake mods themselves, they will give me more horsepower regardless, exuast only adds slightly more to them? How much would full exaust add as opposed to just mufflers?

just mufflers wont gain anything. maybe 1 HP

LT headers will give about 15
midpipe will give maybe 5-10
catback maybe 1

You could get some weld in mufflers and dump them right after the muffs. Thats a cheap alternative to a catback.....
