I am trying to remove my PVC valve in the passenger valve cover. I cant get it out. I think I have to twist it to get it out, but I am trying as hard as I can with my fingers but I cant get it. I dont really want to use a wrench on it unless I am certain it has to be twisted to be taken out.. Anyone know for sure?

Diconect the hose, twist and pull. Oh yeah I used a wrench on the bottom where the hex portion is. You don't have to turn it very much - like a quarter or half turn and it pulls out.

Damnit I twisted it clockwise because I looked closely at it and it had a triangle type thing at the base that had a ramp if you turned it clockwise. But if your turned it counter-clockwise it just hits flat agains it like a wall. So I thought to go with it, clockwise. Wrong.... I stripped the plastic flanges on my valve cover. Your supposed to turn it Counter-clockwise like everything else if you want to loosen it. Im dumb. Oh well. I took it off and it still has suction when the motors running and I put my finger at the end of the PCV valve. I guess it works. But If I shake it, the valve just shuffles around like theres a broken peice in it. I am not sure if this is how its supposed to be or if its busted. I got the PCV valve back in. I will buy some new valve covers when I swap the cams. But do you think its busted? All the car stores dont carry it so I have to go to ford.

Also I cleaned out my IAC valve. that didnt solve anything.

What do you mean all of the car stores dont carry it? Advance carries it. I know b/c I work there.

Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts.... Dont have it. The guy at Autozone said ford doesnt release these type of parts to be reproduced for 3 years. Mines a 2003 so mabye thats why.
