Default NEW AND INTERESTING QUESTION PROMISE

Okay I have a really good question, why is it that it seems as if everyone with 4.6s go with the PI heads, cams and CAI and TB upgrades.

What about S/C 96-98s??
All the guys with 96-98 stangs what mods do you have and what steps did u have to take to get blown?

There arent many members on the board with a 96-98 thats blown. It's a good idea to go s/c if you get the heads ported and polished. But you arent looking at the same numbers as a 99-04 thats blown bc of the 50 + hp from the pi heads.

When you get the heads P&P before you get blown, is that a service that gets done or do you buy replacement heads that are already P&P?

If that is a part that you buy and not a service........

Can you get P&P heads used, like on ebay to save money or they are not that expensive to buy to have to go to those lengths? [&:]

With ported and polished PI heads... give me one good reason why not. That sounds about right to me.

Mods are in sig. I started with first to last, catback, X pipe, pullys, gears, intake, Nitrous, PI heads cams intake manifold and headers, SCT X-cal2, 75mm TB and plenum.

I would for sure do the swap on any 96-98 it made a world of diffrence in top end power, at least 45rwhp but with the uped compression (10.5.1) from the swap limits boost.

I know this is off topic, but how do your 315's hook up on the street? I have a very similar set up and have major traction issues on 275 kuhmo's, duh.

If you do the pi swap on your 96-98 and you grind out the lip behind the intake valve they will flow better and lower the compress ratio almost back down to 9.5:1 or lower with a little more taking out of the chamber. If that made sense?
