clutch life span?
ok i got my car with 58k on it not really old enought to ever have a clutch job. not it is over 90k and i was wondering how many miles did ya get out of your clutch befor it went out. i know driving style and driving conditions can make this vary a lot.

when i got my car it had around 80000 on it, the throwout bearing was shot. The clutch wasnt gripping very well anymore so we got the flywheel resurfaced and had a ford racing HD put in it. works great

My clutch blew up one day coming home from work at something like 90k in my Escort, it chunked off around 1/2 of the entire disc. My advice is take it easy on your clutch until you can get a new one. I was surprised that I actually made it home that night.

92k miles and she's still intact. No signs of slipping yet.. must be cause I drive like a granny 95% of the time, haha.

That was the 5% time right there. I had an 89 Prelude with 133k miles and it still had the stock clutch. I also had a 99 prelude and the clutch as slipping at 56k miles. It totally depends on how it was driven. A clutch can last the life of the car.

I replaced my clutch at about 106K.....I didnt NEED to, but my clutch was getting really heavy and it was really long, so I got sick of it. Replaced it was a King Cobra and never looked back.
