Idle\Throttle problems after disconnecting the battery, helpski please
I reset my computer yesterday afternoon by disconnecting the battery for about 5 minutes and now my idle hangs pretty badly. When I drive the idle will hang right where I go to shift as well. I have a diablo sport chip burned and I'm wondering if that could have gotten zapped or erased somehow. Anybody have an idea where I could start? Thanks!

Well not sure but I know that when you disconnect the battary for long enough the car will have to relearn its fuel curve which the easiest way to fix is driving the car but i'm not sure how the chip will effect that

Well its definitely not the throttle cable itself and not the IAC, I just replaced it. Is there anyway the burn CAN be erased when messing with the battery? I wish I had a code scanner... The car runs wonderfully and sounds good aside from the hanging idle.

If the burn was erased (wouldn't have been, plus your car having 426RWHP, it's guts would be all over the road)...you would know it.
Why did you disconnect the battery in the first place? Did it have anything to do with installing an O/R X/H pipe with MIL Eliminators by any chance?

Dan, nice sig that scene in Biodome gets me rolling... I disconnected the battery when I took out the siren for my alarm. Positive, then negative. ? I did leave the car unattended for 10 minutes at the least while it reset, something might have happened I'm just not sure now. How can I test for the voltage spike, what would happen?

A little update I guess. I reset the computer again and drove the freeway after all the tests were done to see if that would help and it did but the problem still persists... I also got a scanner but no codes were pulled when I used it. I hope that helps Id love to get my car back running right.

About how long? I drove for a good 10 minutes, turned off the car and drove for another 5 at least, I don't mean to sound impatient, just concerned . Thanks for the tips dudes
