RE: exhaust question

Well if your going to buy shorty headers than you can use the stock mid-pipe. If you buy midlength or longtubes you need to replace the midpipe with an aftermarket one. IF your just buying a cat-back exhaust, you can use the stock mid-pipe.

Yes you need to replace the cats, you cant take them off. The only way you could is if your cut them out and had them welded in a new x-pipe. but the stock mid-pipe has four cats, it would just make more sense to buy the high flow cats. The diameter of the piping is about a 1/2" larger and the cats are high flow, so you will see a better performance gain from this. Plus you probably wont save any money if you got an off-road pipe and put your old cats on it. Unless you did the welding yourself, but you wouldnt gain as much power with that setup.

depending on where he lives, there is the option of buying an o/r pipe and saving himself a few dollars,, hundred at least i would say

let us know what you decide on, or if youve got any more questions
