Default How many drive 900+ mile trips with 4.10's?

I live in northern virginia but go to school in the south 900+ miles away. I have always wanted to get 4.10's but like I said, I will be doing 900+ miles(all at one time) on the highway at least 2 times a year. Is there anyone here who does this many highway miles with their 4.10's in one trip or would everyone suggest 3.73's?

It's easier for your engine to run on the highway than it is in town.

true, but would running the high RPMs from the 4.10's for 12 hours on end hurt my engine too much in the long run?

the 4.10's won't make any difference, if you drive slow. But seriously, what transmission do you have? If it's a 2001 you need to check your door jamb, If you have the T45 get the 3.73's, they turn the same RPM's on the highway as the 3650 does with 4.10's.

If anything, your engine is going to thank you in the end for cleaning all the crap out of it

the change in rpms at highway speeds will not hurt your engine. the only disadvantage i see is gas mileage and if you dont care about it then get wichever you want

I make a 650 mile round trip at least 10 times a year with 4.10's and it's fine.
