but is this true? would i have anything to worry about if i got cross drilled and slotted for town and DD?

Default RE: Question about brakes...

drilled/slotted are more likely to crack during normal driving because they are more easily able to transfer heat (heating/cooling hard metals too quickly can cause cracking). if you aren't racing, there is really no point other than they look cool. you'd probably be ok though. also, slotted/drilled will wear your pads faster, supposedly cause of the extra edges.

it's like a catback, buy for looks not for performance.

^exactly, just get bigger rotors and upgraded calipers with quality pads

so just slotted rotors are good? he also said slotted are fine... and thats what it was... cross drilled would have a chance of cracking...

well i do have a cobra.. so bigger rotors??? lol.... and i do have quality pads, on the back since there was no pad when i got it... so soon ill have to redo the front... and when i do the pads i might do all the rotors....

so should just slotted be fine?

slotted are going to wear down your pads because of the slots. Everytime you are breaking they are turning and slicing some of the pad off.

you have no reason to buy slotted instead of oem-style.
