Default Speedcal for 96-98 GTs

Has anyone used a Speedcal Speedometer Correction Modual in their car? 4:10's require to switch out the 8 tooth drive gear for a 6 tooth and that requires more work that I'd like to do right now. How accurate are they and is it worth the $100?

for the 100 bucks you can buy the 12 dollar gear and have it installed... As far as I know, there is not a speedcal available for the 94-98's. I could be wrong, but I never saw one. If you are having a mechanic install your gears, just buy the speedo gear and have him toss it in while he is there. That's what I did. I got my bearing kit, 3.73's and speedo gear installed for 300.

NO NO NO... I mean the 8 tooth drive gear inside the trans, not the correction gear. The 8 tooth drive gear has to be swapped for a 6 tooth drive gear , then the correction gear has to be replaced with a 20 tooth, 3.08 ratio gear. To replace the drive gear means dropping the trans and that's too much work for me. I already swapped the correction gear for a 23 tooth for now, but it's still off and thats why I'm asking about the Speedcal. Sorry if I wasn't clear, here's the link for the Speedcal...

I've got the speedcal and it is supposed to be more accurate than those cheap tooth gears. It really is like less than 10 minutes to do it and there are no special tools required. They also give you all the instructions on how to set the calibration from going from one size such as 3.27 or 3.08 to those 4.10's. It will also correct it for those tires that you have if they are not the same ratio as the stockers.
