I have a question for you ^^ Are you gonna just add rims and tint and loud system, or are you gonna be adding performance mods too?

I've got a friend with a 96 or 97 stang that has 20's and it doesn't look bad, I just personally don't think bling bling looks good on stangs. Try some 18 inch cobra type r rims, thats just my opinion.

There is no way in hell that 20in rims look good on a "96 or97". Show a pic.

Also, try not to put type r and cobra in the same sentence. Unless it's like: I saw a bad *** Cobra murder a type r yesterday!

OK...well im guessing itd be best to roll with them 18's. I also saw spacers on a mustang website, what will these make my rims look like? How much will i be expecting to pay for tires to fit my 18" rims? And also the opereator on theustang websit told me when i asked how to lower my car, to buy the ford racing c-springs and i wont have to buy anything else for my suspension. I this true?
Id say no to the FRPP springs. I had them on my car, and it didnt even look like it was lowered. Id go with some steeda or Eibach(sp?). 1.5 in drop with some chrome 18 saleens would look sick. Dont get the spacers. get a 9in wide for the front and a 10.5 for the back. The tires will stick out enough.Oh yeah, and I agree about being offended by calling the Cobra R a Cobra "type r" they are 2 different things. The R on the cobra means RACING. Dont make me say what acura type R stands for.

How do you all feel about 19-inch wheels coming original equipment on the 2007 GT500 then? There is not a big difference beetween 19 and 20.

I saw a 96-97 of so at the carwash yesterday and it had some horrible 20" chunks of chrome bolted on it, ugh looked bad. Especially when the rim is like 6" wide, and set a foot back under the car. I dont like 20s, would be interested to see 19s, but as someone pointed out, there aint that much difference tween 19-20.

Rounding out the chassis package are huge race-proven Brembo brakes. The front features 14.3-inch rotors with six-piston calipers, while the rear has 13-inch rotors with four-piston calipers. Linking the whole package to the race track are 20-inch wheels and racing slicks provided by Pirelli. Tire sizes range from 275/35 in front to 305/30 in the rear.

The Mustang GT-R is engineered with modern aerodynamics principles, including a massive front air flow opening and carbon fiber belly pans that reduce underbody air turbulence. The race car is engineered to tackle the world’s toughest road and street courses with a stiff structure (based on the all-new 2005 Mustang scheduled for sale this fall), a collection of the most sophisticated racing parts from many racing series and a Formula One-inspired steering wheel. However, the Mustang GT-R could be easily transformed into an affordable, competitive option for grassroots teams as it uses 85 percent of the 2005 Mustang’s body components along, the same suspension setups and the already-attainable “Cammer” powerplant.
