# of cams

Hey how many cams do the 96+ gt's have and how many do the cobras have? my friend and I had a different point of view on this and I would like to know. Thanks

I know comp cams, makes 3 cams for the Non-PI heads, and 3 cams for the PI heads. I know the non-pi cams can be used in a pi head. But I dont think PI-cams can be used in non-pi heads. As for cobra I believe comp cams makes 7 different kinds.

I think he's asking how many cams the cars have in there...

SOHC V8s have two (4.6 sohc GT), DOHC V8s will have four cams (4.6 dohc SVT, Mach I).

OHV V8s will have one (LS1, LT1, 5.0)

Lol sorry I usually stay in the 5.0 section and just came in here to ask that question. Sorry for the repost. Thanks for the info. BTW that really sucks to have to buy 2 cams or 4 cams....but I bet it pays off.
