V6 to 4.6 Conversion
Everyone im new here and have a quick question. I had a 98 GT for a while and had to sell it for work reasons. I am ready to get another but im not sure how i want to do it. At first i was gonna try to find a 94 or 95 with the 5.0 motor, but they are hard to come by and even harder to get in the price range i want. So, my idea was to by a v6 and do a cobra or gt engine swap on it. I guess my question is what is involved in that and what are the main differences between suspension, rear end, tranny etc between a v6 and v8? Can i buy aftermarket GT parts such as suspension, tranny, rear end and put them on a V6? Any help or recommendations would be awsome.

its not the insurance...my whole logic behind this is first off i can get a v6 for about half of what i can get a GT for...2nd, i plan on making this my weekend fixer upper car and i planned on upgrading everything from the engine to suspension, rear end, tranny, brakes...everything...i just didnt know if i should buy a GT and basicly take everything off and upgrade it, or by a V6 and remove all the crap that comes on it and put GT/Cobra calliber parts on it.
