Maybe my new home
i just might be an owner of a GT wooooo!!! i went to my ford dealer today and check some of the older ones out...saw a 03 GT...gorgous. It was like this midnight blue color. SO anywho...
ideas for exhaust? flowsmaster or wuh? GT's i know sound beast stock but i want it to sound bossy and have like a loud low tone rumble kinda sorta deal if that makes any sense...would flowmaster's do the trick? a guy at the local muffler shop said that the flows sound then best when i was gettin flows on my 6 banger...soo any ideas..opinions?

RE: Maybe my new home
An aftermarket H pipe and flowmaster super40`s will sound really deep and throaty. You need to get rid of the stock H. If you dont have to worry about emissions, then go with an O/R H. If you have to worry about emissions, then get a catted H. The super40`s will sound good on your stock H, but it will be 100 times better with an aftermarket H. Make sure you get stainless steel. It will last forever. Try not to get aluminized, it will rust out. Bassani is probably the best but its so expensive. Thats my next choice for a cat back.

RE: Maybe my new home
i went through some serious anxiety when i first bought my car 7 months ago trying to decide which exhaust would sound best. all i've ever heard was flowmaster on a mustang then i joined this forum and everyone said magnaflow, magnapack, slp. i've never heard any of those exhaust's before, but my main concern was the inside drone, i didn't want that. so i went with magnapacks because i wanted a quiet rumble during idle and cruising around town. but when you hit the gas it's unreal how they sound. i've taking my car to two diff. dyno shops that deal with vipers, corvettes, and other high performance cars and both times the guys working there couldn't believe hoe great my exhaust sounded. so ofcourse my opion on the matter would be magnapacks, not flows. i like the sound of flows but after having my exhaust mustangs with flows remind me of off road trucks. not to mention magnaflows high quality products. take a look at magnaflow and then at flowmaster, you'll see exactly what i'm talking about.

I got this http://www.stage3motorsports.com/product/BBK1535
its only 150.00 so i think its aluminized.
How long should it last? When it rusts what effect will it have on HP and sound?

Basically any aftermarket exhaust on a stang is going to get compliments.
SLP LM I's make me drool. Nanaki had them and as soon as he even THOUGHT about LMII's I grabbed them so fast it made his head spin. Def. go with an H-pipe.
O/R H + LM II's
Catted H + LM I's
