Well she still grinds when i dont hesitate while shifting to second. I am just gonna wait till it breaks, but how much money does it cost to rebuild. I know my dad had to do it on my moms 87, i was with him and he slamed second, and lets just say the rest of the ride home that tranny was clanking like mad and we were only going like 10mph. I know it is a tough job, but does anyone know how much parts would cost, or how much a junkyard T45 would cost.

It's not easy to swap from an automatic to a manual MuscleOwnzRice.

Jlauth, a junkyard tranny shouldn't run you anymore than $500. The swap itself isn't all that hard. If your father can do a clutch job, then the tranny swap will be cake because he's most likely familiar with everything. A rebuild with labor will definitely run you over $1,000.

BUT, since it only grinds if you don't hesitate, that might be a clutch issue...
