Exhaust...again

Exhaust...again
I have been thinking about finishing up my exhaust for a while now, turns out Long Tube Headers in New York are a no go b/c of emmisions and i have herd that shorty headers are not a good return on investment. That leaves the option of going with an X or H pipe. Which would go best with my Borla Stingers which are already insanely loud. Witchever i go with, it would have to be catted (emmisions), whad brand do u guys suggest, and combined with my cat back Borla, how much HP gained when its all said and done? thanks

RE: Exhaust...again
You can pass emissions with LT's in New York.
Hell, ever hear of Metro Ford in Schenectady? Take a look at all the Mustangs they have out infront on the lot, 90% of them have LT's with no Cats...
Anyways, 95% of your inspection stations aren't going to scour all around the LT's looking for a CARB stamp on them, so get the LT's with a catted mid-pipe and nobody is going to reject you. I live in MA, which inspection stations are about 40x's more **** than any station in NY and this is how we pass inspection here...

Thanks dan, I dont know much about the process of inspection here, but i know they plug something into the computer that reads everything out so im kinda skiddish when it comes to that stuff, But for right now i am kinda limited on funds and thought i would just get the midpipe now and do the headers later (i hear they are a MAJOR pain in the a$$ to install) I think Mustangtuning has an x- pipe that you can adjust to fit with long tubes, if u want to do those at a later date. So how much hp,, midpipe + catback... and LT's +Midpipe +Catback, thanks again

LT + Midpipe + Catback = 20-25rwhp

I know the Long Tubes are a huge project, i dont even want to think about doing that myself, about how much would an install run? Also how big of a job is it to install a X pipe? Could i do this myself? What brand x- pipe Bassini, slp, mac or what? thanks
