what were the exact specs on these push pins nuts screws and washers...i know it may seem dumb to ask but i wanna get it done right the first time
It will straighten out when you attach it. I used nuts/bolts/washers from the hardware store. An attendent should be able to help you out. It's important to get large washers since you don't want things to tear. This method will hold it on much better than Ford's method of using plastic push pin things. I pre-drilled the holes while two friends of mine held it in place so that I was sure it would be perfectly symmetrical.
so just use nuts washers and bolts...no push pins?
yeah, You only need short ones with biggish washers. Count the holes on the Chin spoinler to find out how many you need. I think it's around 10 or 12. To do this you'll need some basic tools: A screw driver, A wrench for the nut, and a Drill. You'll also need to make sure that you can angle them under there.
I left the mach 1 chin spoiler out to stretch out...is it supposed to totally loose the fold and completely straighten out?
I ordered mine from there too. It came folded like yours. I had it on my car within an hour after it came to my door. Check this link for the install instructions. www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2004/07/Project01GT/ That should help.
