Default our mustangs have extra weight that serves no purpose really, heres some I noticed

if you remove the panel below your steering wheel, there are 2 metal plates that are they but they dont actually do anything because theres another panel that protects the wiring, I noticed this when I was hooking LED lights up to my interior lights, anyone else post any other things uve noticed

I think thats supposed to support the dash. I have never looked at this in my 03 GT.. But I took the dash out of my 89 mustang and thats what it was for. It was under the steering shaft right? I wouldnt take it out. what do you save, 1lb?

When you get broadsided, and your dash collapses into your lap... you'll wish you hadn't removed any sort of bracketing.

You know those steel plates are there to keep the steering column drive shaft from going into the crotch.
