Starting issue / camshaft position sensor
I've just purchased my first mustang, a 2002 GT with 30,000 miles. I have an OBD code for camshaft position sensor and i have trouble starting the car. Unless i give it a little gas, the car stumbles and dies. If i tap the gas a bit, it starts right up and stays running. When I'm stopped at a light it shakes a little bit and it i saw it hunting for an idle RPM a few times, but that doesn't seem to be too big of a problem.
Is this a common issue? Should i change the sensor or look elseware? I'll be removing the idle air valve tomorrow and cleaning it. Also, where would i find a vacuum source to Seafoam the engine?
Thanks, Peter
