Default Beginning of the mustang project

So... Today I did it! I started my mustang project.

I had purchased some PI heads on eBay a while ago. Today I just took them into a shop for the guy to look at them and run a magnaflux on them. Depending on the size of my next check will determine how soon I get the cams. When my mustang is back up and running it will have a full PI conversion, stage 2 crower cams, and long tube headers(plus a nice dynotune ). I am hoping for 100+ RWHP added. I guess we'll find out on the dyno. Well I just thought I'd share because I'm excited. I'm pretty proud of myself for not procrastinating this project.

Those Crower cams are going to sound sick!! You should wait and save up some extra money and got those heads stage 2 or 3 ported and polished. I have read that its worth like 55hp. Plus its going to be such a long pain to install all that. Might as well do it all right the first time.

Magnafux is actually the name of the company that makes the inspection equipment. You can't do magnetic particle inspection on aluminum because it's non-ferrous, but you can do dye-penetrant inspection. Its a lot easier and cheaper and just as effective.

Sorry I do this for a living.

Lol Rock on Hyper... I love gaining knowledge like that. Yeah the heads aren't aluminum. They are the stock heads from a 2000 mustang. I was considering Porting them. But Time and money are an issue for me. I really want to get this goin by the summer and the added cost of a port and polish just won't fit right.
