Ford Racing has started the undertaking of redesigning their bullet proof gear sets with a fresh approach to further enhance their pulling power and durability. They are the industry standard, afterall. The 9" Ford rearend is a legend in racing circles. The fact that the first gear set to carry the new design is their 8.8/3.73 ratio tells me that the 3.73's must far and away be the most popular overall ratio used by car enthusiasts nationwide. You make your own choice. I'll stick with 3.73's.

PS: Look for the suffix "N" at the end of the Ford Racing 3.73 stock number to be sure you are getting the latest design.

Had both and would not go back to 3.73's after having my 4.10's.

I had 4.10's in my 02 GT and I swapped them for 4.30's.

In a 2v I would go with 4.10/4.30 only, even supercharged...

T-45 with 3.73's is the same as 3650(02-04and bullitt) with 4.10's.
