You guys all need to find a new insurance company.

I have 2 tickets on my record. My insurance is $769 every 6 months for an'03 QX4, and a '99 GT Convertible.

And it's Allstate. Not like it's some half *** company.

Wow! Where do you guys live? I'm 28, one ticket I had to tell the insurance company about b/c I'm a lawyer, despite it not being on my record. My coverage: 250/250/500 with $500 deductible on a 2002 GT convertible is $630 every six months, or about $105 a month.

Thanks for all the help you guys! Wow...Those prices really vary depending on age and history of driving! Well, im guessing, and correct me if im wrong, that if i got a 00' GT (about 9000 dollars)with about 40K and in pretty good condition, this my first car, no driving history, etc. It will be Around 200 a month? thats kind of what im getting according to all your posts.

I have another question. Im putting a lowering spring kit, body kit, neons, and some other dress up items on. Is this going to make my insurance more expensive? or only performance mods will do that? What if you get the car insured, then hooked it up? can you get in trouble coz that wasnt in coverage? As you can tell, im so confused. But thanks for your time.

how the hell is it that everyone is payin like 8923482384 less than me a year, can 1 accident do that to you? I hear it has to do with the value of your car, and also I wonder if stuff is cheaper in diff parts of the country?

i just did a free quote thing on allstate.com and for the GT, it came up to 3,200 for 6 MONTHS. I then tried the V6 and it came up to 1,400 for 6 months. thats like half off for the V6. I heard the V6 is really slow and underpowered though. Yeah i thought Stangs were a good value in price, but i guess insurance kills. Now i know why ricers exist. That comes to about 230 a month. Not cheap. Ill look on other companies though. My parents use AAA, so maybe i could get a discount or something.

Don't forget the deductible. I saw someone post that they had a $0 deductible. Never do that. I would recommend $500. You can make up the difference in no time.

this is why you get a v6 if your under 21 and mod the **** out of it..just remember the 1-2k you save in ins. will go along way in go fast parts...hell they v-6 and gt look the same and you could put some killer wheels on it.. just a thought..or a nice fox body that was 4 banger and someone did a good conversion in
