Am I the only one?

Am I the only one?
I bought a used diablo predator, which I wasn't quite sure I wanted to do but it was 180 instead of the 350 they are new. Got it and it says, "This tool is not licensed for use with this vehicle." Guessing that means that he didn't re-install the stock tune in his mustang before he sold it, even though he swears he did. Can these things be unlocked? Does anyone have any advice besides how screwed I am.

How many times did you try to use it? When I was making changes to a tune on my predator it said the same thing when I tried to flash the computer. After that I tried it again and it worked fine.

yep, im selling my used tuner, its superchips... but this is the reason i would rather the buyer be more local.. i'd rather install it on their car to make sure it works and doesnt do something stupid like that.

I don't know for sure but I always thought the tuner reads info from the ECM and kinda marries itself to the first ECM it reads???
I called a dyno shop and they made a point of telling me that I would have to buy my own tuner if I wanted to have them do a tune on my car.

You are beat.
You can send it to the manufacturer, but they can't even unlock it, they send it off to the company that manufacturers it for them. In the end, you'll end up paying more for your used one than a new one.
I would just try to get your money back or just count your losses and make a smarter purchase next time.
