I don't have any cats on my car (o/r h) and when i got mine inspected i took it to a shop that works on "muscle" type cars. I pulled it in, the guy said, "by the way it sounds, i'm not even gonna look under you car to see anything", he complimented the way it sounded, hooked it up to the machine and it passed, but i could've failed if he looked under it. He said he didn't even want me to pop the hood, cuz he didn't want to see anything he's not supposed to...haha. Gave him $30 for the sticker.....he didn't even check my tint, even though it's a light tint. You're just gonna have to find someone you can trust and get in good w/ that isn't a ***** about things. Good luck man, cuz it looks you're going through a bunch of crap about it.

In Phoenix my friend had an older truck and he failed emissions he went and got it tuned, and our friend hooked him up with a receipt for $500 in parts and labor. He still failed, but he showed that he had spent over $500, and in Arizona if you spend $500 you get one year before you have to be retested. kinda weird,. but they only cared about emissions, not window tint.

window tint laws vary from state to state, as do emisions, so it would not be uncommon that

one thing could be legal somewhere and illegal sumwhere else
