Default supercharged 2003 gt

i just bought a mustang gt 2003 and was thinking of putting a supercharger on it. was wondering how one would effect the life of the engine. and which supercharger would last the longest. i would like to keep the car for a long time and dont really wont to break it.

It would not effect the life of the engine at all as long as you have you fuel air mixture right. Detonation is a killer. Just make sure that you have the right fuel delivery to support the extra air.

WRONG dude.

Any power adder will decrease the life of the motor. Just depends on the extent. Tune it great and you in all likely hood won't have problems untill the motor starts racking up the miles. Once the problems develop...they will get much worse much faster.

I have to disagree, I have read way too much information and it is always conclusive if done right there is no extra wear.Of course after you star racking up miles but thats the case for any motor S/C or N/A.

I've done a lotta research too, but I guess people will never agree on it.

I tend to stick by the "lotta power, less reliablity" theory.

Most of you will probably have a problem with this. I say build the motor to handle your desired power adder and then install it. I know everyone wants easy bolt ons.

True dat homeboy big power and a heavy foot= less reliability. For a daily driver just dont get too greedy.

Default RE: supercharged 2003 gt

yeah their right I have done alot to my gt and it takes time and patients. you have to make sure that you have support for all that power, if you want your stang to be around for a while and to be fast it takes time, or you are going to waste alot of money
