Default light/roll bar installatio

Just ordered the Classic Design Concepts light/roll bar for my 99GT. Does this thing really help in the event of a rollover or is it just for looks? Any suggestions, tips, or links for the installation.

You're f**ked.....you think a roll bar will actually save your ***? Only way I can see it doing that is if it's welded to the chassis (unibody...whatever).

In our Jeep, it came with a roll CAGE stock. Granted it only protected the rear passengers (the new Wranglers are also like this), but it's much better than a bar. Reason being is it was bolted to that thin *** windsheild up front.
