Default from 3.27 to 3.73 ??

I know 4.10 is a favorite in here, but im short on cash and already have a 3.73 and a trusted friend to install. My question is will the difference be noticable from 327 to 373? What am i looking at?

You're going to see a WORLD of differance between the 2... not sure what you're asking about when you say "what am I looking at"

Yes there should be a noticable difference between the two...but just remember there is a reason 4.10 is the favorite

Yeah you will feel the diff. =)

My motto is...
Manual Tranny - 4.10's
Auto Tranny -4.30's

I don't know why the 4.10's are the favorite... my stepbrother has 4.10's in his 03 GT, and I like the way my 3.90's feel much more... Feels a lil bit more balanced... Maybe it's just me, but everyone I know that has installed the 3.90's say they think they made the right decision.. including me.

but if the cost is an issue to you - install the 3.73, you will still love em...

If you have a trusted friend to do the install then pleeease get the 4.10's. Install is the majority of the cost of gears, and assuming you are planning on the putting in the new bearing then they are compatible with either gear, so why not just spend the $169 or whatever it is, get the gears you NEED, and the rest is done ???
