Default What brake pads are best for the price ?


I will have to change my brake pads pretty soon and I wanted to find out what products you guys recommend. Also is the installation difficult ?

most poeple don't listen but i always go for the wagner thermo quiet brake padas they runn about 40 bucks a set and are lifetime warrentied for wear and noise. so if they wear out you get a new set if the start squeeking you get a new set. no big deal just take them back to the parts store.


front brakes are a breezed the rear can get a little difficult if you have never compressed the caliper befor it has to turn as it is compressed its no big deal but the first time you do it it will drive you nuts.

btw make sure you get your rotors turned.

I recently had my brakes done and got ceramic pads. They're a bit pricier but I think they're great.

yeah i got the ceramics about a year ago and i didn't notice them to be better. they are pricey like denizen said. i need to do my breaks soon again but i don't feel like spending big bucks on breaks.

I think they may have been Hawk but I would need to check the receipt on that. I also bought new rotors at the time and I know for sure those were Hawk so I might be misremembering the pads.

from the research i have done, satisfided and hawk are the top two,

i just got a pair of fronts from hawk, ill tell you how i like them wen i get them on this weekend
