Default Ford Racing or Motive gears?

I'm buying 4.10s to replace the 3.55s on my Mach.

Is there a difference other than the "made by FORD" stamp? The Ford gears are a bit more expensive.

Is there anything else I need to buy? Differential bearing kit? Friction modifier?

ford racing gears are nice because you reuse the stock shims and 90% of the time you don't need to make any adjustments. A good installer shouldn't have trouble shimming other brands of gears though. A number of people are running motive gears without any problems.

People have said FRPP's are easier to install, but like Fallstar said, any halfway decent mechanic can install Motive's.
