Spark plug install
OK so now I'm home from exams and have plenty of time on my hands. Can anyone who has done it before or knows how to do it tell me how exactly (step by step) install spark plugs on my 01 stang....or if you could refer me to some site with detailed instructions

RE: Spark plug install
1. pull your Cia off this will make it much easier.
2. un plug wires off of coil pack.
3. take the bolt out of the coil pack.
4. wiggle coil pack out from under the fuel rail. (it will do it ya don't need to remove the rail)
5. use spark plug socket and extentions to remove spark plug.
6. gap and antisieze new plug. (be sure to use antiseize)
7. use spark plug socket and extentions to replace spark plug.
8. replace coilpack.
repeat for all 8 plugs.

RE: Spark plug install
^Sounds pretty accurate, you will need a 6 inch extension for some of the plugs, and my plugs in the back I used a 9 inch extension. Don't remove the fuel rails, just unclip them, Way more trouble then is necessary. Pretty easy job actually.

Are you asking how to gap spark plugs? Maybe you should let someone else do this. If you're asking how much to gap the plugs I think .35 is about right.

That gap is more for a FI application. .048-.052 is better suited for N/A.

Yeah, the smaller gap is good for the FI application to keep the blower from blowing the spark out.
