I have that exact system with the 3 1/2" tips. The chrome tips look badass, and EVERYONE that has heard it, even my anti Ford friends think my car is one of the best sounding cars around. Everyone has Flowmasters, I took a shot at being different, and turns out it sounds 100X's better than the Flows.

Just my $.02

Yeah MAC sounds way better than blowmasters, and they give more of a performance gain. The MAC flowpath mufflers have a really deep muscle car tone, and when they're coupled with the Pro Chamber mid-pipe, it's one loud intimidator!

just my opinion but i strongly believe that an exhaust should never be purchased for the simple fact that it sounds good. performance should be #1 and if it sounds good then thats a bonus. leave spending 300+ dollarson a exhaust that sounds pretty, to the ricers.

I got a set of 2.5" MAC cat-backs from my '00 GT. It sounded awesome! But...at highway cruising speed it reached some kind of harmonic resonance that was maddening after about 10 miles. (I do have 3.73s, which increased the hwy RPMs.) Also, the inside of the nice-looking chrome tips rusted after ONE day on the car.

I finally broke down and got some mildly baffled Flowmasters. Not the same awesome, resonant roar of the unbaffled MACs, but better on the wife's ears. If you don't mind thegreatly increased interior noise and rust, the MACs will definately make your stang sound good.

I love my mac cat backs even though the inside tips did rust. The sound is different, everybody like it, really a 70's kind of rumble. What Jason is talking about is at 2k rpm there is kind of a loud cabin drone sound, you have to try to avoid that speed but most low resistance systems have something like that. Cant wait till March I am going to have my car inspected and then through on the pro chamber.
