Hey man I'm doing an engine swap myself right now. 2v to a 4v. Did you change the cumputer or harness?

well there is a bid diffrence in 2v and 4vs computers so you will probably need both the wiring harness and the ECU, i am using the stock ecu and harness from the 4.6 to the 5.4

Updated
New pic loaded, 1) connected EGR, had to strech the egr tube some and add a 1". 2) put on all accessorices, the 4.6 belt will work for the 4.6 and 5.4. 3) extended the fuel lines to the other side. 4) wiring harness( some plugs need to be extended, the ons i remember off hand are the IAT, the IAC, a cooland sensor on the head. and a plug that has to do some thing with the vacume lines and a egr vacume line) & and spark pule wires

the problam i have now is that the clutch cable and fork cover wont go on i dont know what wrong. every thing looks right i dont know.

tomorrow im not going to school... so hope fully i an get the exhauset and extend some sensor wires

wow. What I'm planning is rebuilding my manual tranny (1997 GT) and putting in a ford King cobra clutch and a performance H pipe. Having read this thread and looked at the other pics, I feel like I'm doin almost nothing. LOL. Dude this forum totally inspires me to mod my car. Oddly enough, the shop I work at bounced 3 of my paychecks in a row, so I have $8 in my checking account. ha

yeah, I'm thinking about buying a 4.6 engine (I don't feel like customizing everything) and rebuilding it to my liking, and when my current engine poops just do a simple swap. This is amazing.... dark horse I have a few questions for you!

How old are you?
Are you in school? What school if so
Do you do automotive stuff as a hobby or as a career?
Where do you work? (expensive stuff man!)

I ask because I am curious and I am very impressed by what you're doing. Looks like you are doing everything right, and not missing any beats.

I'm 18, going to my community college hear starting my path to a masters degree in automotive. Planning to be a master tech some day doing what you have going.

Peace!
