One bad thing about LT1's is that people neglect to keep there opti-spark in 100% condition.

My opti-spark took a dump at the track. I went from 14.1 @ 99mph to 15.3 @ 90mph.

It shouldn't take much for you man, get gears and DR's and you should take him. I once ran a bone stock auto 96 LT1 and I had him by a half car from 20-90. Also beat a bone stock auto 94 LT1 at the track. I know his isn't stock but since you have some good mods already it wont take much to get him. LT1's shouldn't be that hard to keep up with but when u say LS1, it'll take a little more, lol.

Some of you guys are making it seem as if a 99-04 GT will easily take a LT1.

It really isn't that easy and 8 times out of 10 it will not happen Stock VS Stock.

F-Bodies may weigh a little more but the extra 15-25HP and 25Ftlbs of torque not to mention better gearing more than make up for that.

The LT1 (93-97) is as fast as the 99-04GT. Maybe a little faster, but it will not blow the GT away. Auto vs auto, the LT1 will win, hands down.

Correct, if it was a stock LS1 (after 1998), the GT would have been destroyed with listed mod's.
