Default Looking to beat the COBRA'S

I am the proud owner of an awesome 03GT, best thing I've ever bought. Only problem is.......not enough power!!! I'm looking to get over 300rwhp. Any of you mustang vets know the best way to get these numbers? Without a s/c.........some of us aren't that well off.

I think if you add up what you are going to need (unless you use nitrous) you'll find it'll probably be cheaper to buy a supercharger [&o]

Nitrous. It's safe, it's cheap, and it works. The only downside is that it's not on all the time and you've eventually gotta get refills (They aren't too expensive though). A good kit is usually around $500.

code is making great power without boost or nitrous but his setup is anything but cheap.

You'll need, at a bare minimum, full exhaust, full intake, underdrive pulleys and a dyno tune. This is basically the same cost as a supercharger but it's not as strong.

If you save and install a supercharger on a bone-stock GT, it'll be faster than the above setup. A used supercharger can be found for 2500-3000 or even cheaper, a new one is more like 3400-4900.

It will cost some $$ to get your 2V over 300rwhp while remaining N/A. I am really happy with my set up but if you want instant gratification, build a blower. I am basically at my limits, motor wise right now and while it is somewhat depressing, once I can get my suspension worked out and his those 11's N/A it will all be worth it.

Add headwork and cams to that list.

Maybe you should upgrade your stang to a 05 gt or a mach1? Those are already pretty close to 300whp.
