Default Newbie Question

After reading as many forums on the net, I find you guys the most informed and helpful. So here goes...
I have a 2004 Mustang GT. My wife for Christmas got me the Super Chips Microtuner. Did the new program, felt increase in power. Read the forums and went and got 2 flowmasters; 40 series mufflers. Tomorrow I install K&N Air Filter Kit.
I start at 260hp, so what would you guys think I am at now? I can tell you I feel and hear a noticeable increase and the sound, OMG!!
Thanks ahead of time!

Flowmasters sound great, they're not a very good performance muffler however.

As far as HP #'s, better wait to hear from someone with a stang...if I were to guess, which I am, I would say you maybe gained 7-10rwhp, according to what said chips do.

Sorry, but I have to disagree on that statement. Flowmasters sound awsome, and they ARE very good performance mufflers. You did nothing wrong in getting flowmasters.

Every car I've ever read about or had, including Mustangs, sound great with flowmasters, but they're not the freeist flowing mufflers. But hey, I guess it's personal preference.

I've always heard that too about the Flows, but hey, If you like the sound then go for it. There are alot of other mods that you can do to increase HP.

It's been proven time and time again Flowmaster does not perform with straight through muffler systems.

There wasn't much tuning to be done on your car, so I think your butt-dyno is just overly excited.

but still those flows or any other catback won't do much with those damn cats in the way. Get a off-road Xpipe. Best money I've spent on my car in awhile (got it for 80 bucks brand new, Mac coated X $249 or so retail). With your flows already on there It will sound badass and give you alittle extra kick in the pants with power. I'm not sure but do the newer stangs have the 6 cats too? (4 cats 2 resonaters?)

Well, I got the whole induction kit and ordered the C&L Trueflow Intake Plenum and Accufab 75mm Throttle body. Can't beat the charts and the explanations on http://www.rpmoutlet.com

The Superchip tuner I got tuned the stock chip and certainly made a difference. Now...I want the 3.73 gears... anyone have a good place?

Thanks ahead of time
