I think the 315's are too large for 8in rims.
they sell 315/35/17's... I just wanna know if they will rub or not.
I know they sell them, but they are probably too large for an 8in rim. I've got 315's on my 10.5 DD. I do believe that the widest you can go is a 275/40 series tire for an 8in rim. Needless to say, they should fit without any problems.
Yeah man, I'm running 275's on my 8" Cragars and that's as big as I can go on mine. 315's would looks sick as hell though Ethan! I think 315's can only go on 10.5" though, but I may be wrong!

Hahaha, yeah.

Emizzle: They're right. An 8" wide wheel is too skinny for a 315 tire. You could fit a 275 NITTO d/r on there without bulging or anything. Are you really making enough power to justify the expense of a 315 d/r? Have you looked into prices?

I would say get yourself a 275 wide nitto 555 (non d/r) best gripping non d/r I've seen.

Okay, I miss understood before. I dunno why I htought a 315 would fit on my 8". I was paying too much attention to the 17" and forgot about the rim being only 8". I'm about toss a lot onto this car in the next 6 months, and I am estimating about 310-320rwhp.

I have lots of mods, 75mm TB, magnaflow o/r X and catback, Steeda pulleys and T/A, C&L Plenum, 3.73's, 80mm MAM, Granatelli upper and lower CA's, foxbody shocks and struts, H&R springs, Steeda full length subframe connectors, and will soon be adding a PI intake, 100 wet shot, Transgo shift kit, 2800 stall, and transcooler. I'm estimating my rwhp to be at about 210 now, and with the PI intake and 100 shot I should see a solid 100rwhp. I'm getting the DR's to run only as track tires, and maybe on weekends or something for fun. I think I can justify 275 Dr's... right? My estimations of RWHP are not exact, nor am I claiming them to be, we'll see once I get it tuned.

Thanks guys, I'll snag some 275/40's... Looking into some BFG's.

im running315/35/r17's on my daily driver tires and the car burns them off if im not easy on the gas. especially from a slower roll. also, my car is dropped 1.5 inches and i have no rubbing problems with the tires.
