can i do this to my exhaust to make it fit??!?

ok so to make the exhauset fit... i cut the H in half so i can do one side at a time the Driver side fits perfect no modifications needed

Ther passenger side i either need to remove the lower stud to get it on, or can i cut the flange like this and then just bolt it on, can i do that and make a good seal?

Kinda confused as to what you were asking, but if if came off and all you did was cut the cross section, it should bolt back up. But I havea question for you, Why????

You shouldn't have needed to cut anything technically.....though it is a lot easier not having to hold the whole thing up by urself. The higher you jack the car up the more advantage you will have to move the sections around and it should fit fine. I have taken my h-pipe off a couple of times(same one as yours on my 99gt) playin around with different x-pipes etc and have been through the samething. Again it should work fine if you just play around with the fit alittle dont need to cut anything flanges or take studs out,let me know if you have anymore questions Dan-

1) i was asking if i can cut the flange on the lower two pictures. and if it will seal good

2)i was trying to tell you how i got it in. i tryed to make the O/R X fit when the trany was off and even with the room where the trany was i could not get it on. so if i cut the H and just clamp the are inbetween with some more tubing it will be sealed.

so i cut the H so i can do one side at a time so it will be easyer. because you cant install the mid pipe in one peace on a 5.4 there is no room.

on the driver side i am going to have to add about 1-1.25" right before the cat to make it longer

ohh... i see you guys thout i was doing this on my 4.6... no im doing it one the 5.4. sorry for the confusion.

it has to be cut to get the exhaust in because the 5.4 is wider.
