Ok so my younger brother, Freeunit(as you may all know him) has a 99 gt auto with a few mods. I have a 98 gt with some ofthe similar mods, but its a 5spd, my mods ar ein my sig. Anywho.....if i got 4:10's do you think I could beat him? And just out of curiosity, what would it take for me to waslk on our friend with the Z28? spray prob?

well easy either a PI swap or just put in stock 99-04 mustang used camshafts.

If you got 4.10's with drag radials... you will own him off the line, but through the quarter he will probably still edge ya out. I'd say 4.10's and Dr's are good for about .4-.5. I've raced my friend a bunch at the track with a 98gt and there seemed be about .6 difference between us in every run.

LOL. You gotta love the brother quarrels. I took out a few 99-04 GT's at the track, but that's cause they either couldn't launch for crap or just couldn't drive. I took 4 of them out of the hole, and two never quite got past me. I beat them by about .1 They were good races.

Go with the 4:10's and some DR's and it'll be a shifter race...

i think even with your 4.10's it'll be very close
if he's got minor mods like you, he's probably capable of a 14.0 assuming he can launch

youre running mid to high 14's as you sit now (my guess)
so 4.10's alone woudl help, but not make the difference,
add DR's and a good drivers gasket and i'd say you could take him

yeah that what i was thinnking but what do you mean by a good set of drivers gaskets? But i was just looking on mustang tuning and i guess if you get this aftermarket windage tray.....you get good increases of hp...how would that be possible..do you think it is for real? it seems like i could prob hit a mid 14 second run right now in my car....
