Battery Drain

Battery Drain
I purchased a 98 Cobra at auction recently and have now discovered an electrical problem. There is a .42mAH drain on the battery. Is there any commonly seen locations to check for what is causing the drain? If not I guess I'll just start pulling fuses and try to narrow it down. I've checked the glove box and interior lights and they are all turned off. Thanks in advance!

RE: Battery Drain
We don't see many battery drain issues here, so unfortunately I don't have much advice to offer.
The only suggestion I can give you that will help, I think you already mentioned and that would be to pull the negative cable and attach your meter accordingly and start replacing fuses. Once you get the light to go off you'll know where to look. The light might glow really soft for the stereo clock... You can simply pull the fuse for the radio and solve that right away.

RE: Battery Drain
Thanks for the quick replies.. Does anyone know what the "normal" drain that should be expected? I'm thinking something like .05mAH, but just wanted to be sure.. I know .4 is waaaay too much.. It drained a brand new battery in about two days..

RE: Battery Drain
Thanks, but the car wasn't being driven during the two days that the battery drained. A bad alternator will not have any effect on a brand new battery being drained in two days while the car sits in the driveway..
