Sorry man to hijack your thread, but to help you out... i would take it to a Ford dealership and have them do an inspection on it.. if it come back ok from them, then i would buy it. You will some warrenty left and after your warrenty runs out you can get one from an independent company that covers a lot also... that is what i have on my car, cost 1200 for a 3yr/36K mile warrenty, but it covers everything.. and i mean everything!!!
GL man and let us know how everything works out!

1. when on the highway in 5th my rpm's are to high for the exhaust i have(too loud)
2. either figure out a way to lower rpm's with a different gear ratio or get an exhaust that is more quite.
understand?
Higher gears will raise ur RPM's on the highway.....dude, you are confusing me. I don't know what the fck ur talking about.

No, you can't "buy" a 5th gear, 4.10s, etc aren't in ur tranny, they are in ur rear end.
+1 im so lost... i dont understand what is going on lol

nothing is going on.. nothing is wrong....
My car sounds amazing while driving in town and what not.
But when i take trips and drive for 5+ hours... the exhaust gets real annoying... so i was trying to think of a way to lower my RPM's while in 5th gear with switching out the gears or if at all possible switching out just 5th gear... if there is no gear ratio that will do this without really killing my HP.. then i was thinking about changing my exhaust or having something that i can put in it to make it more quite...
Do you follow now...
Thanks for any help!

A Ford dealer will tell you that everything is normal until the minute it is out of warranty. Take it to a transmission shop.

Most dealerships don't have a specialized tranny guy on the payroll anyway. They either get a guy to come in a couple of times a week or farm the work out to a real trans shop.
