Default Which gears?

Hi guys

i soon will change my gears when i buy a 99 GT. Some people told me i shall go with 4.30! Never saw them! Do they exist? What's best for making a fast & get normal MPG making GT?

My car shall (as soon as possible) have less than 5 seconds for 0-60 and i will hit 160-180MPH! So what's best choice?? Because i will not change car because of wrong decission.

3.73
4.10
4.30 (if this exist)

Thanks for help!

4.30's exist and there are many more much shorter gears available.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 4.30's if you are N/A. If you are considering boost, DRAG RADIALS will be an absolute must for the 4.30's, also some LCA's at the very least.

If you boost and don't want to buy a tall drag radial to compensate for the shorter gears, you can go with 3.73's or 4.10's boosted. I still recommend 4.10's, others will say 3.73's for boost.

4:10 is a really good gear...i had trouble keeping my 96 cobra from sticking in first and second gear with 4:10s N/A...i put 3:73s in and it tamed it down some...

I'd go with 4.10's if you are staying N/A.
And 3.73's or 3.55's for F/I.
