Default Tuner questions.

I'm sorry if these questions have been asked before but I was wondering a few things about handheld tuners. Any answers to the questions I have would be greatly appreciated. Most of these questions would pertain to the SCT XCAL 2.

1. Are these dangerous to use on your car at all? Or is there anything to watch out for?

2. Since they come tuned from wherever you buy em with a tune already calibrated for the mods you have, once you get more mods can you retune it to get more out of your mods? How hard would that be with little experice with such things?

3. I know you don't get any real benefit out of it without running premium, but can you restore it to the factory tune when you wanna run regular, then reload the performance tune when you are ready for more spirited driving?

4. What kind of gains can you expect from a stock vehicle VS a vehicle with most bolt-ons?

5. Could you use one of these to tune for cams? Or would that require a professional tune?

Thats all I have for now, I will repost as I think of more. As always, any input is greatly appreciated. THX

Default RE: Tuner questions.

A handheld tuner is a good computer device that can adjust shift points in your car, increase hp, and basically retune your car for the mods you've done to it. I would recommend the Diablosport, I've heard great things about it, but its up to you.
