I run Royal purple 5-20 and a K-N filter. The car definatly likes the synthetic oil. Smoother idle throttle response seemed better. When I change the oil atleast on the honda the first quart was black as nite and then almost turned the same color as it went in. That is a sign of some good oil anda clean motor.

Synthtic oil does not break down as easily ,if at all,as conventional oil does. Oil changes are further apart which is better for you. But it tends to be expensive for good synthetic oil. Mobil 1 and Royal purple is all that I will use. I ran Mobil 1 in my Ranger and my Civic. I decided to run Royal purple in Eleanor because I plan on changing all the fluids to Royal Purple.

Worth the money. Motors last longer with it. Just wait until you have 3g on the clock and you are go to go.

It's really good for cold start-ups. It flows through the system far quicker than conventional oil, the most damage is done on start-up & while you idle, synthetic is just hands down 10x's better than the best conventional oil.

I only use amsoil in my cobra. higher boiling temp, flows free at lower temps, and the change interval is higher than any other synthetic oil out there.

Where should we begin. Anyway, yeah I've been running Amsoil 5-20 XL7500 in my car since its break in period. Synthetics are supposed to be able to withstand higher temperatures, flow better when its cold, do not leave deposits, last longer in drain intervals to say the least. Type in a search on google for synthtic vs petroleum oil. You'll get lots of hits. My car averages 280miles per tank for mostly city driving. I got 375 out of it on a road trip. But you should check it out; it should help your engine last longer.

depends on the brand...amsoil is 25,000 miles or one year on NA motors, on turbo or centrifigul blowers its 12,500 miles. Sounds way to high, but amsoil warrants your motor against any defect in their oil.

I won't ever go for more than 3K miles, be in synth or dino......it may be possible, but I don't think that it's too good for the motor.

Keep in mind that it's defects in their oil, not existing defects in your motor or a sub-excelent filter.

the 3k is something oil companies came up with..if you use a good syth. 5k interval is good..if using a s/c tubro then the 3k might apply..as stated above..the oil doesn't beak down as fast so even a filter change @ 3k and add 1/2 quart then you can get 7500-10k out of it...if you do the 7k change the price of reg oil and syth cost about the same in a 100k engine plus gas mileage goes up a few mpg and hp is up'd 1-2% best of both world..now if you add an oil primper you would see 400k on stangs
