Im very very new to mustangs and cars in general, and wanted to know because i looked at slps website, and was wondering if the catback x pipe is the Powerflow x crossover short assembly or full assembly and whith cats or race pipes? and the slp loudmouth cat back i was wondering do i replace a few parts with the cat back x pipes or do i just buy the whle exhaust part? im sorry for being such a mustang noobbut ya gotta start sometime dont cha?[sm=smiley19.gif]

Yes, he has a catted SHORT x-pipe on his car because he has the long tube headers. If you have stock or shorty headers, you would need a full length x-pipe in order for the length to be correct to fit up with the headers. The long tube headers are longer in length, thats why he needs a short x-pipe to make up for the length in the longer headers.

As far as the catback, the x-pipe does not replace the catback. The x-pipe replaces that crappy thing they call a midpipe which is stock on your car. In other words there are 3 parts to the exhaust. The headers, midpipe (x-pipe), and the catback (mufflers).

so wait if i buy the header and get a long one and then get a short x pipe and then why cant i just buy the muffaler tips and put it on the short x pipe or do i need the whole exhaust kits including the pipes thats come with it?

that explains why it was soo deep for LM I's,, because it was LM II's....

its still no deeper than stingers though [8D] and taht also would explain why it has some tone too it at all

nice car, nice exhaust, and its a mustang, i still enjoy wathching the video
(and im at my gf's house, so i can download the whole thing in 2 minutes, instead of 30 minutes at my house to watch 1/5 of it

LoL, if you put tips on the X-pipe, you wouldn't see them. The x-pipe ends 1/2 way under the car. You need a catback system so it comes out the back of the car, lol. Plus you need mufflers, unless your running straight pipes in which you wouldn't need the x-pipe. But straight pipes are the worst thing for you car, no one does it.
