As far as what gears to run, try this:
New Tire Diam. divided by Old tire Diam. times the stock gears = new gears.
Example: 295/35/18 is 26.1" divided by 245/40/17 is 24.7 times 3.23 = 3.41 (or 3.5:1)
just to get back to stock gearing. 3.73:1 would be the next gear lower.
You have on overdrive
I cant think of too many Freeways the 5th gear at 1800 rpm feels very powerful
You can go to 4.1:1 (4Tens) and still be okay on the freeway
