Powershifting is hard on your car, true but in a tight race it will lower your ET!!!

The fast way to shift with out power shifting come sdown to timing. What I do is when I want to shift hard and fast.As I start to push in the clutch and let off the gas I am already taking the car out of gear as I hit neutral the clutch is full in gas is full off and I start to put it into the next gear as I let the clutch out. When The clutch is fully out I should have just gotten into gear and stomping on the peddle. This video shows what it looks like minus the foot work. Works really well saves the tranny some beatings and makes two gear burnoutsnice. I have a couple two gear pulls with less then a 1ft between marks. </P>

I never said it would be easy on the transmission, but it can be the difference in a race! If the cars are even matched, that can be the difference!!

Very true!! People are saying that powershifting is hard on the car, the tranny, blah blah blah, it's all true, and I'm not saying you should powershift everytime you drive, but in a race, a drag race at the strip, powershifting can be an advantage, and if you don't do it someone else will and they will always have lower times. Their car may break, but no one every said racing was cheap!!!
