Any mod will void a warrant, IF the dealership find that mod to be the cause of the defect. For instance, running gears will put you at a higher RPM when driving on the highway, so if you overheated and caused some damage, the dealer could just say it was because of your gears and your warranty would be voided. Even though the gears might not have caused the problem. So I would really watch out for anything other than minor bolt on. And don't get CAI without a tune. I have heard that the stock air sensor is extremely sensitive, and a CAI without a tune could send the car into limp mode.
