Default Question about off-road x pipes

I bought an off-road x pipe for my car and I was wondering... are the MIL eliminators neccessary? If so are different brands better than another? Thanks.

For an off-road system its a really good idea to get the MIL eliminators. They will simulate your front 2 O2 sensors so that your computer doesn't pull a MIL indicator. If the "engine" light comes on in your car because of the O2 sensors, don't look at it as "just a light". The MIL indicator fault will put your car in "limp mode" which will greatly affect performance. The rear O2 sensors don't play as big of a role because they won't trigger a MIL fault. These can be eliminated with a computer programmer. The best ones I've came across so far are from BBK and run about $60.

Well i'm pretty sure the x pipe has a bung for the front two, just not the back two, should i just buy a pair of eliminators for the back two?

If you dont want a CEL to come on, than you need the Mils with a non-catted midpipe.

Ok it has 4 bungs in the mid-pipe, I just looked at it, do I still need the MIL's for the back two because they are after the cat on stock?

mil eliminators make it to where you will not get a check engine light. It is recomended you get them so that if you do have something wrong with your engine you will get the light, or else you will have a light all the time
