SLP X-pipe

RE: SLP X-pipe
On my old engine (97 GT 2v) yeah I did. Besides the car sounded like a beast I also felt the tq gain. With the SLP I dont know yet. Hopefully I will get the car running by Tues. night. But before I had BBK lt's, BBK o/r h-pipe, and Flowmaster cat back. Everyone always told me that the car sounded awesome. Not one person ever said anything bad about how it sounded.

RE: SLP X-pipe
I've asked this 100 times still haven't got a good answer. I want this same exhaust set-up: BBK LT's, SLP o/r X, Loudmouth II catback. Can someone tell me if BBK and an off-road Xpipe will fit my Auto Transmission. Anyone ever done this or know someone who put LT's on an automatic? Got any advice?

RE: SLP X-pipe
Yea Im going SLP with the cats, $300 is a great price for an x-pipe with the cats. Most are at least $300, and I was suprised because it was SLP. Plus I love the interchangibility.
And I would go with the SLP LT's, but THEY are way over-priced for minimal if not no performance gain compared to BBK. Plus I want the sound, I could care less about the HP/TQ for now. And an even bigger problem... SLP LT's don't fit my convertible, they are only made for coupes.

RE: SLP X-pipe
LOL, well I just contacted SLP, and the guy told me that he has no real clue whether the BBK Headers will fit their X-pipe.
He basically told me there is no garuantee and you have to take your chances. He said it could fit perfectly, or I may need a short adapter to accomidate for the length gap between the headers and the x-pipe. Nothing huge, but not what I wanted to hear.
Why would the Headers from different companies be a different length?... Dumb thats what it is. It should all be standard.
The guy said most are, but no guarantees, thats awesome...
Does anyone have this setup? BBK LT's + SLP X-pipe?

RE: SLP X-pipe
SLP is a good company but the guys dont really know all that much. They told me there headers won't fit my car. But it did. I bet the BBK and SLP will work fine but you will have to get flanges and weld them onto the SLP mid-pipe because they use clamps instead of flanges.

Yea LOL, I called SLP and the guy was very shaky. Im calling Mustangtuning tomorrow to find out what the **** is going on with my car. They will give it to me straight up.
And about that x-pipe, the cats on the SLP pipe are freakin HUGE so Im sure it hangs down a little more than stock, but if its really a problem make sure they are in the hangers properly, or just get it checked out to make sure.
